How do I configure Project and Task budget hours?

Budget hours can be defined when you build a Project Plus template. Parent Tasks and subtasks can carry planned hours, and the resulting Project receives a Project-level budget.

Budget hours are planning values. They do not represent cost or billing rate.

Once the Project is active, use the Budget card to review planned hours against actual tracked time. Adjust the Project or Task budgets when the real scope changes so the variance remains meaningful.

For workload planning across owners, Resource Capacity uses Task-level planned hours.
